Changes to inspections of on-site sewage management systems

Cessnock City Council has announced the postponement of standard and routine monitoring inspections of on-site sewerage management systems.

This is in response to the latest restrictions introduced by the Federal and State Government in relation to the spread of COVID-19.

Routine inspections will be rescheduled at a later time that is suitable for the property owners or operators.

Council maintains the capacity to respond to concerns and issues raised by residents and can arrange site inspections subject to social distancing requirements being fully complied with. Inspections associated with new system applications will also continue subject to social distancing requirements being upheld.
