Aboriginal cultural heritage is a living heritage and includes both objects and sites of significance to First Nations people, but also the stories, knowledge and practices that continue connection to Country.
Cessnock Local Government Area is within the traditional lands of the Wonnarua, Awabakal and Darkinjung peoples and includes significant cultural heritage throughout the landscape.
