Councillor Anne Sander has lived in the Cessnock Local Government Area (LGA) for all of her life. Anne grew up in Weston and continues to call it home with her partner. Anne believes she is considered a long standing resident of the great community of Weston. Anne is an advocate for her local community and listens to their views to ensure she can best represent local residents.
Anne is committed to improving the experience of all residents and visitors in the Cessnock LGA. Anne is passionate about ensuring the community have access to a wide variety of high quality recreational spaces. She would like to continue seeing upgrades to local open spaces and for Council to continue to seek grant funding to enable vital recreational works to take place. Improving infrastructure including upgrades to local roads is also a priority for Anne.
Anne is a member of the Joint Regional Planning Panel, Road Review Committee and the Dollar for Dollar Grants Committee. Anne is also a representative on Councils Strategic Property Review Committee.
