Any person can make a submission in writing to Cessnock City Council concerning the proposal, during the period specified in this notice. Before granting a licence, Cessnock City Council will consider all submissions made. If an individual would like to make a submission by way of objection this option will be provided in the submission process.
What is ‘Community Land’?
'Community Land' is land Council makes available for use by the general public, such as parks, reserves and sports grounds. Community land cannot be sold, exchanged or otherwise disposed of by a Council. There are restrictions on the grant of leases and licences and the way Community land can be used. A plan of management, adopted by Council, is required for all Community land and details the specific uses and management of the land. Local Government Act stipulates leases and licences can only be granted if expressly authorised in the relevant plan of management.
