Cessnock Youth Development Project

The Cessnock Youth Development Project is auspiced by Kurri Kurri Community Services as part of the Youth Services Team. There are currently 4 staff in the unit providing case-work support to local young people and their famlies. 

We provide 

  • Case management 
  • Advocacy and Support
  • Information Advice and Referral
  • Court Support at Cessnock Court 
  • Providing awareness and understanding of current issues faced by young people
  • Assisting young people in voicing their own opinions
  • Identifying the needs of young people and facilitating the development and coordination of resources to support them
  • Advocating and lobbying on behalf of young people to ensure their needs are considered in the development of programs and policies
  • School-based programs
  • Youth Week activities
  • Youth events
  • School welfare planning/programs
  • Training and resources to local youth service
