Council Waste Voucher

Residents will be able to use their 2019/20 Cessnock Waste Management Centre Vouchers up until the end of August.

The decision was made at the latest meeting of Council to make up for the period of time where the Cessnock Waste Management Centre was closed to the public due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The facility was closed from Friday 3 April and reopened on Monday 27 April.

Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said some residents may have missed out on disposing of waste during this time and it’s great to be able to extend the life of the vouchers for impacted community members.

“If you have any vouchers left over from last financial year you’ll be able to use these during the months of July and August instead of your new vouchers that you would have received in the mail with your first rates notice for the new financial year.”

Please note these vouchers are only issued to residents who receive a Cessnock City Council Domestic Waste Service. For more information on the vouchers visit Council’s waste section of the website. Residents are also encouraged to look for opportunities to reduce, reuse and recycle their waste.
