Cessnock City Council is offering financial support in the form of a rates subsidy to local not-for-profit community organisations.

Cessnock City Mayor Jay Suvaal is pleased that Council is once again able to offer a subsidy of up to 50% to help bolster support for Cessnock LGA’s local not-for-profit community organisations.

"This assistance from Council is designed to recognise the value and importance of our local community organisations, as well as aid in the delivery of their services and activities to the Cessnock community", Clr Suvaal said.

To be eligible, organisations must meet the principles of Council’s Rates Subsidy Policy, complete the Rate Subsidy application form and provide all the required supporting documentation.

Applications for the 2024-25 financial year subsidy must be lodged with Council by 15 March 2024. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submission by 1 June 2024.

Potential applicants should visit www.cessnock.nsw.gov.au/rates-subsidy and contact Council customer services on 02 4993 4100 prior to lodging an application.
