Background

As part of yearly road rehabilitation / stabilisation works, Council is undertaking remedial repairs of multiple road pavement sections along various sites within LGA. The sections of roads prioritised for rehabilitation / stabilisation works are as below:

  2. Matthew Street, Cessnock
  3. Shedden Street, Cessnock
  4. High Street, Cessnock
  5. Harris Street, Cessnock
  6. Chapman Street, Cessnock
  7. Alkira Avenue, Cessnock
  8. Coulson Avenue, Cessnock
  9. Swanson Street, Weston
  10. Varty Street, Weston
  11. Johnson Avenue, Kurri Kurri
  12. Aberdare Street, Pelaw Main
  13. Eighth Street, Weston

Scope of Works

The project will involve road rehabilitation / upgrade works on various roads comprising the following:

  1. Pavement rehabilitation i.e., stabilisation and re-seal of the project extents
  2. Align with existing driveways
  3. Repair and remediate any damaged caused by construction works

Traffic Management

During construction, residents may notice an increase in construction traffic and some temporary disruptions, such as road closures. Traffic management will be in place to ensure safety, and we will do our best to minimise disruptions. Residents will be informed of planned works and road closures through a resident notification letter in advance.

Updates on Project

Regular updates on the project, including changes to the schedule, road closures, and other important information, will be provided on the Cessnock City Council website. Directly impacted residents will also receive updates from the project team and be notified of any schedule changes or property impacts.
