Council received funding under Round 7 of the Heavy Vehicle Safety and Productivity Program for the upgrade of Camp Road, Greta.

This project forms part of Council's Operational Plan. You can find it within the Operational Plan with the Project ID RRL 2021 008. 

Scope of work

The construction works included:

  • shoulder widening
  • road pavement rehabilitation
  • sealing and line-marking
  • signage
  • NBN relocation completed
  • Power augmentation including replacement of two poles:
  • Site 1 pole - 450m south of Mansfield St/Camp Rd street sign
  • Site 2 pole - Opposite properties 271 and 273 Camp Road

Stage 2B - Roadworks

Heavy gravel patching was completed last week. Milling and installing gravel layers will continue this week.  Trimming and compacting works are planned for the end of this week. Resurfacing works scheduled for the following week with final tabled drains and batters being shaped.

Works are expected to be completed by end of February 2023, pending weather conditions.

Relocation of telecommunication cable and power pole augmentation are now complete.

Stage 2B - Roadworks, is planned for the beginning of February 2023 and will take approximately five weeks to complete, pending weather.
