Fancy yourself a potential green thumb? Council is running a workshop Soils, Pests and Predators where beginners and advanced growers alike will learn something new – from what makes good soil and how to improve it over time to identifying and naturally controlling pests, and fertilising a garden naturally. Suitable for anyone growing or interested in growing their own food, this workshop is a great way to get started on the journey to having a garden full of delicious and healthy things to eat. It will include theory and hands-on sessions in the garden!
Anyone who would like to attend but cannot spare the cost of a ticket can email environment@cessnock.nsw.gov.au - Council does not want the cost to prevent anyone from attending. Morning tea will be provided.
