Cessnock City Council’s Economic Development team is proud to present a local business networking event which will take place from 12 to 2.30pm on Friday 10 June at the Grand Mercure Hunter Valley Gardens, Pokolbin.

This is the latest in a series of businesses networking events made possible with joint NSW and Commonwealth Government funding under the Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Fund (BCRRF).

This event will have a focus on employment, and will feature keynote speaker Carolyn Miller who is a creative thought leader and digital strategy expert. Carolyn is the founder of The Honeycomb Effect communications consultancy, and has over 20 years’ experience in marketing.

Carolyn will present practical tips for businesses to foster their audience, employees and customers through digital marketing and engagement. From their own direct communications, to online advertising, and social media, there will be plenty of ideas to get local businesses started, or to amplify their existing activity.

Guests will also hear an employment update from Karla Notman, the Employment Facilitator for the Hunter Region, watch employment industry videos, and hear about Council’s latest initiative to get trained candidates in available roles.
