Native Plant Giveaway

Join us for a blooming good time at Turner Park, Aberdare! Council is thrilled to invite all residents of Cessnock LGA to a giveaway dedicated to promoting a greener and more sustainable environment.

 

We are giving away FREE native tube stocks to all attendees. These little plants have the potential to grow into mighty trees, contributing to the natural beauty of our community. Whether you're an experienced gardener or just starting your green journey, we've got the perfect plants for you!

 

The giveaway will include a range of native tube stocks including creeping myoporum, pigface, kangaroo grass, coastal rosemary, thyme honey-myrtle, white kunzea, prickly-leaved paperbark and silky hakea, as well as premium compost that is made from 100% locally produced and processed garden organics waste.

 

Previously, this program was limited to new home builders who built during the last financial year, but due to high demand from the community the offer has been extended to all residents. 

 

Please note: The giveaway will be limited while stocks last and allows for each household to claim up to 5 native plants. Council staff will be checking identification to confirm residency within the Cessnock LGA
