Less Is More: Children's Toy & Book Swap
Interested in exchanging your child’s old toys and books for something ‘new’? Cessnock City Council is excited to announce a free Children’s Toy & Book Swap to be held at the Kearsley Community Hall.
Children and their guardians are encouraged to come along with toys and books they are no longer interested in keeping and exchange them for something ‘new’, extending the life of these preloved items as a result.
The Children’s Toy & Book Swap is part of Council’s Less is More campaign, which seeks to change our relationship with products and encourage us all to reuse, repair, rent, borrow and share rather than always buying new.
The event will take place on Sunday 21 May at Kearsley Community Hall from 11:30-12:45pm. Check-in will take place from 11.30am-12pm. The swap will begin promptly at 12pm until 12.45pm.
Toys must be in working condition and suitable for ages 3-8. A maximum of six toys and six books per child will be accepted.
To allow for more children to attend the event Council kindly requests that only one parent/guardian per family attend.
