Joe Rider 2023

We're bringing the entire community together to champion the Joe Rider campaign, all in the name of fun and safety. Our mission: raise the flag on motorcyclist awareness and put the brakes on those concerning motorcycle crash statistics.

What is Joe Rider?

The Joe Rider campaign mission is simple: "Look out" for motorcyclists to reduce the incidence of SMIDSY ('Sorry mate I didn’t see you') crashes that many riders have experienced.

Competition Week: 9th - 13th October 2023

• Cessnock
• Port Stephens
• Maitland
• MidCoast

Keep an eye out for Joe Rider on the streets during the competition week. Our dedicated volunteer riders are easily recognisable in their bright yellow 'I am Joe Rider' branded vests and are riding to increase their visibility on the road.

If you spot Joe Rider in the Cessnock Local Government Area, here's your chance to win fantastic prizes! Simply pull over in a safe location to note down the details needed to enter the competition. Ensure you have the date & time you saw Joe Rider, as well as the street name, town and LGA you spotted them in.
