April Compost Giveaway

Our popular compost giveaway is happening again this April! 

Council will be giving away 132 bags of premium compost made from the material collected in your garden organics bin. It's free of weed seeds and ideal for rejuvenating soils in all types of gardens. 

There are three compost giveaway events remaining as part of the current round: 

• Tuesday 19 April from 2 to 3.30pm at Cellar Door Way, grassed area in front of Huntlee Shopping Centre, North Rothbury
• Thursday 21 April from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Log of Knowledge Park, Kurri Kurri
• Saturday 30 April from 10am to 12pm at Mount View Basin, Cessnock

Important information:

• Have your drivers licence with proof of current residency ready to show staff
• Each household can get 2 x 25L bags
• You may collect for multiple households in one car with identification for each address 
• No bags will be available prior to the published start time and the event will finish when all the bags are gone 
• Dates are subject to change due to weather conditions - check Council's Facebook page on the day or call Solo Resource Recovery on 1800 870 250 if you're unsure if the event is still proceeding due to weather
