Cessnock Tidy Towns Group
We are a community group of volunteers assisting Cessnock City Council to improve our public spaces and natural areas.
This includes the maintenance and improvement of Poppethead Park at Kitchener and Bridges Hill Park in Cessnock.
Activities we are involved with include:
* Improving the visual image of the town.
* Heritage conservation and promotion
* Bush regeneration.
* Environmental projects.
The Sustainable Communities - Tidy Towns - program was develped through Keep Australia Beautiful. Since 1981, the Sustainable Communities - Tidy Towns program has been rewarding and recognising projects andcommunity innovations in Cessnock and town across NS,

The Tidy Towns group meets on the third Monday of each month at 4.00pm.
