Licenced venues in Cessnock LGA are giving away new swags as part of an anti-drink-driving awareness campaign: What’s your Plan B? – Win a Swag Competition.
Scan the QR code at participating premises until 14 December 2025 and tell us your Plan B to avoid drink-driving, in order to go into the running to win one of four camping swags worth $250 each.
Cessnock City Council and Cessnock City Liquor Accord have partnered to bring this state-wide awareness campaign to Cessnock venues.
Cessnock City Mayor Dan Watton encouraged the community to support the worthwhile awareness initiative.
"It’s no secret that drink-driving continues to cause serious harm in communities across Australia, and there’s simply no excuse," said Clr Watton.
"Whether your Plan B is a taxi, a ride with a friend or family member, or another method, this competition is a great way to reflect on how we can think ahead and plan a safe way home after drinking alcohol - and make Cessnock LGA’s roads safer."
This competition is funded under the Local Government Road Safety Program with grants from Transport for NSW, and with Cessnock City Liquor Accord members co-sponsoring the campaign.
