There will be a wide variety of pre-loved library books, magazines, music, and DVDs, this book sale serves as a way for the library to recycle their stock and make room for new materials.

The book sale will run for 10 days starting at 9am Tuesday 2 April and wrapping up on Friday 12 April

Library Services Co-ordinator at Cessnock City Library, Rose-marie Walters said it’s a great opportunity to give loved items a new home.

"This event has been a huge hit with the community in the past and we are so excited to bring it back bigger and better than ever," said Ms Walters.

"You’re not only getting a great deal, but you’re also supporting the library and its efforts to offer a diverse range of resources for all ages."

Cessnock City Mayor Jay Suvaal said it’s a great way to support the local libraries.

"I hope to see you there to support our local libraries but if there’s only one James Patterson novel, it’s mine!"
