With the completion of the Fosters Bridge construction and new road approaches, the associated road safety improvement works on Sandy Creek Road are now complete. The road closures have been lifted, with all traffic now utilising the new road facilities.
The project works involved road rehabilitation, drainage upgrades and safety improvements to the winding section of road each side of Fosters Bridge.
Council successfully secured funding from Transport for NSW under the Heavy Vehicle Safety and Productivity Program, and further funding from the Australian Government for road safety improvement works.
