The aim of the project is to improve pedestrian and cyclist connectivity and safety between Greta train station and the bus stop in High Street Greta. The 830 metre long pathway will be generally 2.5 metres in width and will be constructed on the northern or train station side of Nelson Street. The pathway will provide a link to local residents to a range of transport options including the train station and bus routes in Greta.
This project forms part of Council's Operational Plan 2023/24. You can find it within the Operational Plan, with the Project ID CPW 2022 022.

The pathway construction was to commence in June 2023, however the contract was disbanded and an alternate contractor or delivery method is currently under determination. The pathway is due to be completed by November 2023.
