Stage 3 works have kicked off to upgrade Col Brown Rotary Park, Kurri Kurri. The beautification works are part of the Kurri Kurri Commercial Centre Masterplan.

The upgrade will improve the current space and make it more enjoyable for those visiting the park, while also ensuring all the best features of the park remain. The works include:

  • New pathways for better access
  • More trees and landscaping
  • Installation of new park furniture and signage
  • Installation of new lighting to improve night time safety
  • Construction of sandstone amphitheatre
  • Memorial relocation and rectification
  • Amenities block improvements

Stage 3 upgrades will primarily focus on the Eastern end of the park. Council is carrying out the upgrade in stages to ensure limited disruption to the community. The park will be open for the duration of the project and businesses in the vicinity will continue to be informed about any impacts on parking.

Funding

Council successfully secured $847,701 grant funding through Round 8 of the NSW Government’s Resources for Regions program, for this stage of the works.
