Scope of Work

Construction works for the upgrade on Cessnock Street include:

  • Drainage
  • Road pavement rehabilitation and realignment
  • New kerb and gutter
  • Road sealing 

Location

The planned works are located on Cessnock Street Aberdare, between Caledonian Street and Colliery Street.

Traffic Control

During the course of the works, there will be some unavoidable traffic disruptions, including the closure of Cessnock Street, Aberdare between Caledonian and Colliery Streets, weekdays during work hours 6.30am-5:00pm, Saturdays 6:30am – 3:00pm.  

Traffic control measures will be in place for the duration of the works and will include a combination of traffic controllers and road closures.

During construction, there may be disruptions to driveway access. On site staff will communicate in advance with affected residents. 

Emergency Services

All emergency services will be notified of the road works and details.

Waste collection 

Waste collection will not be affected during the works.
