Background
Cessnock City Council received a grant from Australian Government under Fixing Local Roads Program and Council co-contribution to improve the road condition for all users including cyclists, school buses, heavy industry, local business and provide improved links to the state road network. It will also assist with the improvement of safety at the existing railway level crossing by providing a new surface as background to pavement markings.
This project is identified as RRL 2021 009 in Council’s Delivery Program.
Location
The work is located at Mitchell Avenue Kurri Kurri between Northcote Street and Government Road.
