In response to the NSW Health stay at home order, Council services, facilities and events have been impacted. Important changes to the status of Council services will take place from Monday 18 October 2021.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the greater Newcastle and Hunter Valley areas, NSW Health has issued a stay at home order. Following the NSW Government's Roadmap to Reopening announcement, there will be further changes from Monday 18 October.
The upgrade of Bluey Frame Park, Weston is now complete.
This project involved the installation of new play equipment, fencing and landscaping.
The new playground features a variety of options for children, including swings, a tower unit, climbing challenger, springer and accessible carousel.
The new park was officially opened by Member for Paterson, Meryl Swanson MP and Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent on Monday 16 November 2020.
These works were jointly funded by Council and the NSW Government’s Stronger Communities Fund.
