Council is proud to present residents with a FREE online workshop covering everything you need to know about creating a household budget that works.

The workshop will take place online, via Zoom, from 7pm on Thursday 21 October 2021 and all residents from the Cessnock Local Government Area are welcome to attend, though booking are essential.

Presented by Gurney Financial Services, participants will learn how to make a budget spreadsheet, save money, distinguish between wants and needs, think twice before they buy and how to pay off debts quickly.

The workshop will also provide information about living a more sustainable lifestyle, by living with less and purchasing only what we need.

Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent, said this workshop was timely, as many residents have felt the financial burden of the current COVID-19 restrictions.

“This is a great opportunity for residents who might be struggling financially, to gain some great tips on creating a household budget and saving money.”

“The workshop will not only help people better manage their money, but also provides important information about living more simply and sustainably,” added Cr Pynsent.

This workshop is free, but bookings are essential. For more information and to book your spot today, visit the Events section of our website
