We're developing a Youth Engagement Strategy (YES) and want to hear from young people aged 12 to 25 living, working or studying across our local government area (LGA).

The YES will provide a platform for young people to make their voices heard about the issues important to them.

How to get involved

It's time to 'speak up'. There's lots of ways you can participate and there's plenty of prizes up for grabs, including a set of Apple AirPods, voucher at local retail businesses, streaming vouchers and local experiences.

YES survey

The YES survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and covers:

  • education and employment
  • hobbies and interests
  • your community
  • physical spaces
  • support
  • your future
  • emotions and stresses
  • your voice

All answers are completely anonymous. Once completed you'll be directed to a page where you can enter your name and contact details for the chance to win a set of Apple AirPods. See full terms and conditions below.

Discussion panel

Join the conversation on community facilities, education and employment, support services, events, connection to community and anything else you want to raise.

Get creative and have your say!

Do you consider yourself a creative person? Maybe completing a survey isn’t your thing! We still want to hear your opinions.

Send us a photo, video, drawing, painting, short story, song or poem that represents the theme “Your Voice, Your Community”.

Entries close 4pm, Monday 30 November 2020 and should be sent to youthcentre@cessnock.nsw.gov.au for the chance to win a range of prizes, vouchers and experiences. See full competition terms and conditions below.
