Council would like to hear from local businesses, visitors and residents to assist them in preparing the next draft Economic Development Strategy.

It’s a critical Strategy aimed at ensuring the Cessnock Local Government Area has a sustainable and prosperous economy into the future.

Council’s Economic Development and Tourism Manager, Tony Chadwick said the feedback from businesses and the broader community will ensure Council has the most up to date information.

“The feedback and ideas we’re asking for will ensure we have a diverse range of views to develop a clearer picture based on the current and future economic climate. This will help us build on the information collected during the Business Capability Study we did last year.”

“We’re looking forward to putting together a practical Strategy with clear priorities that will have real outcomes for our community as we grow.”

The Strategy will be based on the key themes of productivity, investment and innovation.

If a business, resident or visitor would like to have their say, surveys can be accessed at the Have your say web page. There’s also a fantastic ideas wall for those wanting to share their vision. All feedback must be submitted by Friday 9 October.
