Discount in Fees & Charges for Temporary Event DAs Run by Charities

Council acknowledges and supports the work of charities in the Cessnock local government area, and recognises the important role charities play in the local community.  Accordingly, Council has resolved to discount fees and charges applicable to temporary event development applications run by registered charities by 50% of the adopted fee/charge. 

Under these circumstances, Council intends to discount any fee/charge, as shown in the table below, that relates to a development application proposing a temporary event by 50%, provided that the temporary event is being run by a registered charity.

The proposed changes to Council's fees and charges are on public exhibition and we're seeking your comments.
