Cessnock Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy

We’re seeking input from the community to inform the development of a draft Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy.

The Strategy is a key action from the Climate Change Policy and will provide a framework to improve environmental sustainability for Cessnock. It will set our environmental direction by identifying key actions we will take with our community to achieve our goals.

We want to understand what issues are most important to our community. Your feedback is important and will inform the development of the draft Strategy.

Community consultation sessions

For this next phase of the project, we are calling on people who live and/or work in the Cessnock LGA to provide input on what should be included in the Strategy. We're keen to hear from you on what actions you think will be required to improve sustainability and manage the effects of climate change in the Cessnock LGA into the future.

To facilitate this, we are hosting a series of online and phone consultation sessions where you can find out more and have your say.

We want your input! Take our short survey and share what environmental and climate issues are a priority for you. Survey closes Friday 10 December 2021.
