Community Participation Plan

The Community Participation Plan (CPP) is a legislative requirement for all planning authorities within NSW.

The Cessnock Community Participation Plan was adopted at the ordinary meeting of Council on 20 November 2019.

The Community Participation Plan details when Council will engage with the community across the planning functions performed under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

The intent of the CPP is to make it easier for the community to understand when they can get involved in planning matters. It provides guidance on how the community can have a say on the different types of planning matters for which Council is the Planning Authority.
