Council recently resolved to permit floral tributes in the memorial gardens at the Kurri Kurri and Gordon Williams (Aberdare) Memorial Lawn Cemeteries in a Council supplied vase. Grantees of persons placed in the memorial gardens can make written application to Council to have a vase installed behind the plaque at no cost.
Applications must be in writing and signed by the grantee. The correspondence should also contain the full name and date of death of the deceased person for which the vase will be installed. The grantee’s full name, address and contact phone number must also be provided so that Council can inform the grantee once the vase has been installed. Vase installations would be carried out as resources allow.
