If you are an on-site sewage management system owner, you are responsible for ensuring that your septic system is safe and working properly. A failing septic system is a health risk for your family and the community and may be causing harm to the environment.

Council is committed to our education program for owners of septic systems which is run in conjunction with the inspection and approval programs we undertake. Ongoing education helps owners to meet regulatory requirements, improve their outlook on achieving environmental sustainability and minimise health and environmental risks associated with the operation of on-site sewage management systems.
