What's On

BPay

We all know that finding time in today's busy world to make payments in person is difficult sometimes and Cessnock City Council has responded to that very issue by offering an alternative payment option for residents.

Following a number of requests and an analysis of payment trends, Council has introduced the popular BPAY as an additional payment option. Residents can make and schedule payments directly from their bank accounts for rate payments and accounts receivable payments. The introduction of BPAY  complements the existing payment choices available.

Council's BPAY facility accepts only payments from non-credit financial institution accounts, however credit card payments can still be made by phone or internet and of course at the Administration Centre.

For the payment of rates, the service can be utilised in your internet banking portal by using the Biller Code 918664 and your rate assessment number as the reference number. For accounts receivable payments, the Biller Code 242123 can be used followed by the reference number printed on the invoice issued.

For further information about how to use BPAY, please contact either your financial institution or Council's Customer Service Officers on 4993 4100.
