Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan 2018-2020

May 2018 – April 2020

With the completion of Councils first ever Reconciliation Action Plan called the ‘Reflect Plan’, Council, with encouragement and support from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Committee, has developed its second Reconciliation Action Plan, called the ‘Innovate Plan’.

The ‘Innovate Plan’ is a two year plan and was adopted by Council on the 16 May 2018.

The plan provides Council with a framework and vision for reconciliation and is structured around 4 themes:

  • Relationships
  • Respect
  • Opportunities
  • Governance, Tracking Progress and Reporting.

Reconciliation Australia has endorsed the plan and this endorsement comes with a responsibility to report annually on the achievement of actions.
