‘From the Whangpoo to the Wollombi’
author Tony Palfreeman is hosting a talk a Kurri Kurri Library next month to
discuss his new book ‘From the Whangpoo to the Wollombi.
The part memoir has been called ‘inspiring and hard to put down’, as it provides biographical account of Tony’s own personal experiences of living and working all around the world.
The journey begins in Shanghai, China where Tony spent his childhood, his travels continued taking him to South Africa and the United Kingdom.
The author returned to Australia taking on the post of Head of School, Political Science and International Relations at the University of New South Wales and presides in Wollombi.
‘From the Whangpoo to the Wollombi’ offers an insight into the world of a young person displaced by conflict and revolution. It has historical values but tackles questions for future generations.
Kurri Kurri Library will host Tony on Thursday 22 March 2018 from 10.30am until 11.30am where you will be able to engage with the author during a question and answer session.
Copies of ‘From the Whangpoo to the Wollombi’ will be available for purchase ($25) and signing.
