The Christmas holidays are fast approaching and Cessnock City Library has a great range of fun and affordable activities on offer, with something for everyone!

The Summer Reading Club is in full swing again. Read for your chance to win prizes, it’s as easy as that! Come on in to register and find out what it’s all about.

The theme for this year’s Summer Reading is “Heroes and Villains”, so keep your eye out for superheroes, robots and aliens at the library over the summer months.

We’ve put together a jam-packed program of fun for you!

Summer Reading highlights include:

  • Meeting the library’s new robots.
  • Creating alien masks.
  • Experimenting with the scientific principles behind super powers.

As Christmas approaches:

  • A special visitor from the North Pole will be bringing his Christmas cheer to library story time.
  • Christmas Craft sessions will help you make your own beautiful cards and decorations to spread the Christmas cheer.
