Cessnock City Council Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said if you are walking your dog there are a few very important things to remember when in a public space.

“Before you leave for a walk, check you have a poop pouch and bags with you so you can take care of any mess your dog leaves behind”.

“Our whole community should be able to enjoy our parks and walkways free from pet droppings, especially around schools where young children are playing and walking”, Cr Pynsent said.

Principal Kurri Kurri Public School, Mrs Eve Eather said our Kurri Kurri Public School mission statement is, ‘Learning Caring and Respect for All’.

“This great Cessnock City Council signage initiative will assist our Kurri Kurri community to support our scholars in learning about respecting and caring for the school environment both inside and outside our school fences", Mrs Eather said.

If you don’t have a poop pouch you can drop in and pick up one up free from Cessnock City Council.
