Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent congratulated Kyle Simpson on the completion of his work experience with Cessnock City Council.
“For the past two school terms, Kyle a student from Mount View High School has worked with our Parks Maintenance team”.
“Kyle is a wonderful young man who has embraced his work experience and showed real commitment to his role at Council”.
“It is a testament to his character and determination that he has been able to overcome his disability to become such a valued member of the team”.
“It has been a privilege to work with Mount View High School to host Kyle’s work experience and a big thank you to Kyle for all his hard work over the past few months,” Cr Pynsent said.
Julie Myers, Mount View High School Head Teacher Wellbeing said the Parks Maintenance team’s support of Kyle has been outstanding, giving him a comfortable environment to learn and actively become involved in the tasks required.
“We hope to continue this partnership with Cessnock City Council into the future,” Mrs Myers said.
During his work experience, Kyle has become particularly proficient on the ride on lawn mower, helping the Park Maintenance team to keep the local government area neat and tidy.
