Like our libraries? How about liking us on Facebook?

Cessnock City Council is excited to announce residents can now like and follow the Cessnock City Library Facebook page.

Cessnock City Council is excited to announce residents can now like and follow the Cessnock City Library Facebook page.

The new page will give locals an opportunity to keep up to date with library news and events at both the Cessnock City Library and Kurri Kurri Library.

Council’s Library Services Coordinator, Rose-Marie Walters said this will create a direct, constant and instantaneous communication channel between the library and the community.

“Our program of events at both libraries is fantastic. We have so much to offer residents and having a dedicated social media presence will give us a new way of talking to our community. We’ll be posting about events, exhibitions, community groups, local history and even giving away some insider tips on how to get the most out of your library card.”

“Establishing a Facebook page is also about connecting with people who may not have attended the library before.

Through liking and following our page they’ll get an insight into the thriving cultural hub we have to offer.”

To keep in touch with all the wonderful things happening out our libraries like and follow us at @CessnockCityLibrary
