Cessnock City Council is celebrating Library and Information Week which is on next week and has a jam-packed calendar of events.

Library and Information Week which starts on Monday 21 May provides the community with the opportunity to learn and celebrate the role libraries play in our community, work and personal life.

Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said our libraries provide a welcoming and central hub for our residents.

“Libraries are vibrant creative spaces where the community can meet, connect, access information and explore new technology. They are also places to keep and share our history, stories and culture as well as providing unique learning and recreational experiences.”
