Cessnock City Council is preparing the Kurri Kurri District Strategy to help guide development and look at opportunities for the future.

Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said this plan considers what the communities needs are now and down the track.

“People who live or work in Kurri or Weston can join the conversation online or attend one of the community drop-in sessions.”

“This is great opportunity to share your thoughts about what makes the area unique or what changes you think could bring positive benefits”, Cr Pynsent said.

Two community drop-in sessions are currently scheduled:

  • Kurri Kurri Library, Saturday 23rd July from 9am to 12pm
  • Weston Civic Centre, Monday 25th July from 10am to 12pm
