Help Plan the Future of Your Community – Cessnock 2027

Cessnock City Council is reviewing the community’s ten-year strategic plan and is inviting the community to provide their ideas about the future needs of the local government area.

Cessnock City Council is reviewing the community’s ten-year strategic plan and is inviting the community to provide their ideas about the future needs of the local government area.

Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said this update is an important opportunity to check that our plans and strategic direction reflect the aspirations of the community.

“Council is really interested to hear your views on what our local government area will look like in the future.”

“This is a holistic, long-term plan and we are seeking input and direction from local residents, community groups, and local businesses,” Cr Pynsent said.

There are a number of ways the community can join the conversation:

  • online at yoursay.cessnock.nsw.gov.au;
  • by completing a feedback form available at Council’s Administrative Centre and other Council facilities; or
  • attending a listening post at Kurri Kurri Library between 10am and 12 noon on Friday 2 December or Cessnock Library between 10am and 12 noon on Friday 9 December.

This first round of feedback will be open until the end of January 2017. A draft community strategic plan will then be prepared for public exhibition.
