Cessnock City Council is inviting the community to tell us your ideas and priorities to make the Cessnock Commercial Precinct a better place to live, work and play.

Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said Cessnock has a rich history and this planning is part of creating public areas that will meet the needs of our community now and into the future.

“Public space includes everything from our streets, parks, plazas, and squares so this is an exciting opportunity to participate in how our community will evolve over time”.

“If you have ideas or suggestions please come along to the Cessnock Chamber of Commerce July Networking Breakfast next, Tuesday 12 July to meet the design team”, Cr Pynsent said.

Anyone who is unable to attend the networking breakfast can still join the conversation. Complete the short survey or jot any ideas for the city on the map provided either online, or at the displays located in the lobby of Cessnock City Council’s Administration Building or Cessnock City Library.

Monday 11 July is the last opportunity for the community to complete the survey or submit their ideas before Council prepare a draft Development Control Plan and Public Domain Plan.  To find out more about the Public Domain Plan and Development Control Plan visit www.cessnock.nsw.gov.au/ccpp
