Cessnock’s Code Club returns!
Cessnock Library is restarting the first stage of its after school Code Club in a couple of weeks and they’re on the lookout for new coders.
The club gives children the opportunity to learn the magic of coding. It’s not only fun but educational. New coders will learn logic and problem solving skills through Scratch, a plain language coding site developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Coders will take part in projects involving developing animations and games.
To check out some of the projects from previous Code Clubs visit libraries.cessnock.nsw.gov.au and click on the News and Events page or Children’s Services page.
Cessnock Library will be running two Code Clubs during the coming school term, beginning on Tuesday July 19:
• Tuesdays 4pm to 5pm for children ages 8+; cost: free
• Thursdays 4pm to 5pm ages 8+; cost: free
Let’s get coding! To book see library staff or call 4993 4399. Bookings are essential and places limited. For more information about Code Club please visit www.codeclubau.org
