During Youth Week, local author and employment consultant, Theresa Hackett is joining us for the first time to conduct two workshops on getting a resume together and how to be job-ready.

Entering the workforce for the first time can be a daunting task, these fun and practical workshops will guide participants on creating a fantastic CV, writing an impressive application letter and how to ace a job interview.

The Job-Ready workshop will also help participants uncover their true potential and give them the tools to achieve their employment goals.

Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said job searching for the first time can be an unnerving experience.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for young people looking to enter the workforce,  to learn from a mentor, ask questions and get some practical tips on how to make them an attractive candidate,” Cr Pynsent said.

The workshop dates are:

  • Kurri Kurri Library 5.00pm-6.00pm, Tuesday 4th April 2017
  • Cessnock Library 5.00pm-6.00pm, Thursday 6th April 2017

These are free events and you can reserve your place by phoning Cessnock Library on 4993 4399 or Kurri Kurri Library on 4937 1638 or by booking at the library desk.
