Skate, scoot or ride your way to victory

Cessnock City Council is gearing up for the annual Scooter, Bike and Skate Competition and is calling on local young people to get involved.

Cessnock City Council is gearing up for the annual Scooter, Bike and Skate Competition and is calling on local young people to get involved.

This action-packed event, hosted by CYCOS, will kick off at the Cessnock Skate Park on Saturday 9 December at 9am and it will run through to 3pm.  

It’s free to come along and enter the competition and there are fantastic prizes to be won!   For those who are not so keen on entering the competition, there will be other activities on the day including free laser-tag and delicious BBQ food for you to enjoy as you watch the action.  

Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said this is yet another fabulous event for young people in our region.  

“It is always so great to see young people enjoying our local skate parks and this event always attracts over 300 people, which is just incredible.”  

Entry forms will be available on the day or you can download one from Council’s website at www.cessnock.nsw.gov.au/community/youth/eventsYoung people who are under 18 years old will need their parent or guardian to sign the form. Everyone who competes will also need to wear a helmet.
