Calling all young witches and wizards – come along to Cessnock City Library this October, where the magic’s happening all holiday long!

We are excited to announce JD Howlett, magician extraordinaire, will be weaving his magic in a show for all the family on Thursday 5 October.

For older witches and wizards, we’ll be hosting a special Practical Magic workshop, there’s only one rule, no muggles allowed! Younger witches and wizards will be lucky enough to make their own magic wand and learn a couple of magic tricks to take home. They’ll also have the opportunity to create a magical prehistoric terrarium.

The library school holiday fun program also includes the opportunity for our new robots to meet our local curious young scientists.

The program kicks off on Monday 25 September. Visit Cessnock or Kurri Kurri Library to book your spot, pick up a flier or ring us at Cessnock Library on 49934399 or Kurri Kurri Library on 49371638.

Bookings for activities open on Monday 12 September, spots are expected to fill up, so get in quick.

Don’t forget our regular storytime and rhymetime programmes will continue throughout the holiday period, assisting in the development of literacy skills throughout our community, and fostering a lifelong love of reading.
