The free tree give away is on again and residents of the Cessnock Local Government Area who have purchased or built a home in the 2017/18 financial year can get up to eight free plants.   

The free tree give away is on again and residents of the Cessnock Local Government Area who have purchased or built a home in the 2017/18 financial year can get up to eight free plants.   

Cessnock City Council is proud this initiative has been running successfully for nearly two decades benefiting residents and the local government areas natural environment.  Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent encourages every resident entitled to apply to submit an application.   

“The planting of more trees and shrubs in our community is important, not only for the visual appeal but for the long lasting positive environmental impacts.”   

A range of trees and shrubs are available which can be found on the application form.  

Application forms are available from Council’s Customer Service Centre or you can download by clicking this link.

Completed application forms must be received no later than 5pm on Friday 24 August 2018.
