Cessnock City Council has partnered with the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage to host an A-Z myth busting workshop on energy efficiency and solar energy.

This free workshop will take place from 4.30 to 6.30pm on Thursday 17 May 2018 at Cessnock Library.

Come along to better understand your electricity bills and learn some practical energy saving tips to help you reduce your energy use and overall costs.

Solar PV installation is an increasingly popular way for NSW households to save on energy bills and reduce their carbon footprint. Battery storage is also attracting considerable attention and people have become rapidly interested in what options exist for their home.

The information, tools and resources provided in this free workshop will help you decide if a solar or battery storage option is right for your household and the best approach to reducing your energy use in the most cost-effective way.

Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said rooftop solar installations are booming and more and more people in our community are interested in learning more about solar panels.

“This workshop will provide free, independent advice on solar, battery storage and reducing energy use in cost-effective ways.”

If you’re interested in coming along, register online at www.eventbrite.com and search ‘Demystifying Energy Workshop’ or call the team at Cessnock Library on 4993 4399.
