Cessnock City Library will host two pop-up Library Café Drop-in Sessions this month to offer locals FREE one on one support with a technology expert, plus a complimentary morning tea.

The first of the drop-in sessions will take place at Greta Museum on Thursday 17 October from 11am-1pm and the second will be held at Wollombi School House on Friday 25 October from 10am-12noon.

Those who come along will learn how to access Cessnock City Library’s incredible 24/7 collection of free eMagazines, eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMusic, movie and documentary streaming databases.

Library Services Co-ordinator, Rose-marie Walters is encouraging locals to come along and learn something new.

“The pop-up Library Café Drop-in Sessions will give people who are isolated from library branches the opportunity to solve tech issues, learn about our 24/7 eBranch and other free remote access online resources.”

RSVP online at libraries.cessnock.nsw.gov.au under ‘Events and Bookings’, through the event listing on the Cessnock City Library Facebook page or by calling Cessnock Library on 4993 4399 or Kurri Kurri Library on 4937 1638.

These events are part of the ‘Be Connected’ Australian Government initiative which is aimed at increasing the confidence, skills and online safety of older Australians in using digital technology.
